Description

Sheesham and natural boxwood, polished, sumptuous hand-carved Jaques-Chevalier, triple weighted, leather base, with box for the chess pieces.

It is a rather “push” variant, compared to the more traditional variants of the Staunton. This makes them give a pleasant feeling of novelty, but they are still very usable in a tournament game, maintaining the recognizability of each piece compared to the others and the “kinship” with the most classic versions of the Staunton.

All the pieces are well balanced, leaded, manageable, stable, comfortable.
