4" Stallion Knight Chess Pieces are carved from boxwood and ebonised, which is a special process to give the chess pieces that beautiful black ebony colour. This set is a great representative of classic Staunton design and features a distinctive horse with detailed mane and bared teeth, ready for battle. The detailing deserves a mention, as the king’s head and the queen’s crown are exquisite. This set comes only in the ebonised (black) version. The solid wooden chessmen are added extra weight for better balance and the quality exceeds all expectations, considering the moderate price tag.
